Why should I buy from All Shades Covered?
At ASC we are passionate about supplying women of colour with the finest quality hair extensions and relevant hair and beauty products. Our aim is to reinvent the shopping experiences of women of colour, providing quality products, excellent customer services and professional advice.

What kind of hair does All Shades Covered supply?
All our hair is 100% Virgin human hair and each bundle supplied comes from one donor meaning each strand is unilaterally aligned, hence there is minimal tangling, shedding and breakage.

What are hair extensions?
Hair extension weaves are hair strands that have been sewn to a weft by hand or machine. They come in various lengths and can be sewn, braided, glued (not recommended) into hair or constructed into a wig.

Why should I wear hair extensions?
There are many benefits of wearing hair extensions, adding length to your hair, protective styling, colour experimenting and so much more. Hair extensions, if used used and treated with care, are a safe and convenient medium to long term styling solution. (For more information read our article on A Guide to your First Weave)

What is the difference between Virgin and Remy Hair?
Remy or Virgin hair are both similar in characteristics however there are minor differences. They are both of superior quality. Virgin hair is not chemically processed in any way, however Remy hair is mildly chemically altered in the form of dye or perm. What’s the difference between a Lace Frontal and Lace Closure?
Lace closure: Is made with lace, used at the crown or side of your head which gives the illusion of a natural scalp. Our lace closures are approximately 4” x 4” in size.

Lace frontal: Is made with lace, used at the crown of the head from ear to ear giving the illusion of a natural hairline. Frontals provide more parting options and can be worn in different styles.Our frontals are approximately 13” x 4” in size.

How many bundles will I need to cover a full head?
A typical bundle of hair extensions weighs around 100g (3.5oz), regardless of length. Therefore the longer the length, the less hair on a weft hence less volume, and vice versa. Your head size, style choice (straight, curly or body wave), volume you want to achieve, and whether you need a frontal or closure will more or less determine how many bundles you require.

As a general guide we recommend:
3 bundles for 10” to 12”
3 - 4 bundles for 14”, 16” or 18”
4+ bundles for 22” and over

How long do ASC hair extensions last?
Treated with care and attention, our hair extensions can last well over a year.

Can I colour, tone or bleach my hair extensions?
Being 100% human hair, you certainly can. However excessive chemical application on the strands is not recommended if you want to get the most out of your hair

Can I use heat on my hair extensions?
Just like your own hair, our hair extensions can be straightened, curled or blow dried.

What lengths do your hair extensions come in?
All our bundles are available in 14”, 16”, 18”, 20”, 22”, and 24” lengths. Our Lace Closures and Frontals are available in 12”, 14”, 16”, 18” lengths.

Hair Care, Usage & Maintenance

How do I wash and condition my hair extensions?
You can wash your ASC hair extensions the same way you would your own hair. Apply shampoo first, followed by a generous amount of conditioner, leave for 15 mins and rinse thoroughly in lukewarm water, then air dry.

Co-Wash: Wet hair with lukewarm water. Apply a moderate amount of conditioner and work it through the bundle. Rinse out. Repeat. Rinse out thoroughly then air dry.

Deep Condition: Wet hair with warm water. Apply a generous amount of conditioner to extensions. Gently detangle with your fingers or a brush, from the tip working up to weft of bundle. Leave extensions in a bag for 15-20mins. Rinse thoroughly and air dry.

Do hair extensions experience shedding and tangling?
Our hair extensions typically do not have excessive shedding. The best approach to completely minimise this is to look after the hair when applying chemicals or heat treatment.

What is the best way to store my hair extensions?
We recommend keeping your bundles in the ASC packaging provided.

How do I use ASC hair extensions?
There are various styles that can be achieved with your hair bundles, you can choose to go to a stylist and have a sew-in installed, customise into a wig, or perhaps sew clip-in combs to the wefts of the weave to create custom clip-in hair extensions.

How do I maintain and keep longevity of my hair?

  • Always brush your hair thoroughly starting at the tips and working up to the root to avoid unnecessary shedding and breakage.
  • Apply a light amount of heat protectant to the hair before heat styling for a healthy shine but do not overload with product.
  • Limit heat styling to a minimum and use heatless styling methods, to increase the lifespan of your extensions.
  • If wearing a sew-in, wear a silk or satin scarf at night
  • To keep hair soft and supple, use a spray leave-in conditioner and light oil to add a gentle shine


Delivery & Shipping

What methods of payment do you accept?
PayPal, Credit or Debit cards such as American Express, Discover, Master Card, Visa. We do not accept checks or money transfers.

What is the cost of shipping?
Shipping is free for hair extensions and £3.35 for orders under £30. However, the actual cost may vary depending on the weight of the items ordered. You will know the final total of shipping at checkout.

Next Day delivery on purchases made before 4pm. For £5.75 receive your items the next working day.

International shipping costs £7.50 and should be with you within 3 - 7 working days.

How long does delivery take?
Standard delivery takes approximately 1 - 3 working days to arrive.

Next Day deliveries made before 4pm will arrive the next working day.

International delivery takes approximately 3 - 7 working days to arrive.

Please bare in mind your order may take between 24 -48 hours to process through our warehouse before being dispatched.

Where do you ship to?
We currently ship to the United Kingdom and Europe.

Do you ship internationally?
Yes. Our international shipping includes countries within Europe. We are working on extending our shipping to countries outside of Europe. Be the first to find out when by signing up to our newsletter.

Has my order been dispatched?
Once your order has been placed, you will receive an order confirmation email.

How can I track my order?
When your items have been dispatched we will send an email with your tracking information included. If you have not received an email from us, please send an email to and we will respond as quickly as possible.

For international orders there may be an extra cost incurred to add tracking to your delivery. Please contact us on for more information.

I have not received my order, what should I do?
In the unlikely event that something goes wrong and you do not receive your order at all, please contact our customer service team at We will take this on as a matter of urgency and do all we can to solve the problem.


Returns & Cancellations

What is your returns policy?
If you are not entirely satisfied with your purchase, we're here to help! We have kept our returns policy as simple and straightforward as possible.

Items must be returned within 14 days of purchase. A new item may be exchanged for another or returned for a refund.

Please first notify us by email at with subject line ‘RETURN’ along with your order number.

To be eligible for a return, please ensure that your product(s):

  • Were purchased in the last 14 days
  • Are in their original packaging
  • Aren't used or damaged

Products that do not meet these criteria will not be considered for return.

Customers will be reimbursed for shipping costs associated with returns, if an exchange/return is granted. We advise using Post Office Signed For® 2nd Class service to ensure a safe and hassle-free return. All Shades Covered will not accept liability for any items that do not reach us.

Can I cancel or amend the order I just made?
To amend your order, please send a cancellation request to within 12 hours of your order being placed.
